Paysafecash expansion: which country comes next?
Jul 06, 2020Paysafecash opens the door for its easy and convenient eCash payment to another promising European market. 4.2 out of 7 million Bulgarians who use the Internet on the regular basis[1] will now receive the opportunity to make their online purchases with cash at online merchants who integrate Paysafecash into their payment systems.
Asked about shopping online, 53% of Bulgarian people say they would buy more on the Internet if it was safer. 56% of them admit they would like to pay with cash if they had this opportunity.2 Bearing in mind that the annual growth of the eCommerce market lays at almost 16%3, the importance of offering a wide range of payment options cannot be ignored.
eCash payment methods are especially preferred: 56% of Bulgarian citizens do not feel comfortable when disclosing their financial details.4 Especially now, in times of crisis, business should be aware of the consumer preferences.
Why? The answer is simple: Integration of eCash into payment systems could be another incentive for those 12% of Bulgarian consumers who made their first online purchase ever because of Covid-19.5 Giving them a wide spectrum of different payment options means not only a potential win of new customers but also financial inclusion of those who, due to not having a bank account or a credit card, could not benefit from the convenience and simplicity of eCommerce.
The local Bulgarian payment provider EasyPay understood the need. After seven years of a successful cooperation with the leading prepaid eCash solution PaysafeCard, EasyPay has now started a new journey with Paysafecash. At more than 300 points of sales, Bulgarian people can pay in cash for the purchases they have made online: conveniently, quickly, and safely – without sharing any financial data.
